Let me start off by saying that this will be a lengthy analysis. I will be giving you a lot of information, so please stay with me because I believe every point I cover will be very valuable information to you. I want to re-iterate that this is an account of my experience so far. Some accounts are things I came to hear through people who have experience with different machines and companies. Some items, I cannot claim as fact, but the sources I have spoken to are reliable.

About UsWhen you purchase this machine, you will be making one of the most important purchases of your life. Essentially, it will also be a purchase that you will have longer than any other product you will buy, other than a house. Therefore, you must take your time and consider each of these things, as they are all equally important.

You have to look at the overall picture! That includes the machine itself, its performance, how user friendly it is, the company warranty, maintenance and service, company headquarter accessibility, and company experience and stability.

I guess I should start out by telling which machine I bought. After several months of investigation, I finally decided to purchase the Enagic LeveLuk SD 501.

I want to go through the process that I went through to come to my decision. Through this process, you will learn key points that you will want to consider when purchasing your unit. I will be covering the pro’s and cons of this machine and in doing so, you will learn the pro’s and cons of other machines as well.

First off all, lets go over what is the best technology for making this water. The process that creates this ionized water is called electrolysis. Basically, the water is run across or through plates that carry electrical charges. The industry standard has become plates that are made of titanium and covered in platinum. If you are considering a machine that does not use those metals, stop considering it.

The simple math of electrolysis is, the more surface area the water runs over, the better the ionization. Currently, all ionizers, except the Enagic, have 3 to 5 plates. The Enagic has 7. In addition to having more plates, the Enagic plates are larger in size per plate. I have information on all the machines under Product Comparison. Update 4- 14-08! -LifeIonizers has come out whit a 7 plate machine. However, the per plate size , is still much smaller. For a more detailed description of the plates and this process, click here.

None of the three plate machines, in my opinion, are worth purchasing unless you are looking for a travel machine. They simply cannot produce Kangen Water. However, they can keep you with at least decent alkaline water while you are away.

Now, a few of the 5 plate machines do perform fairly well, at least it seems. The Jupiter Melody, The LifeIonizer, Tyant and the KYK.

Before I go on, I have to get something off of my chest. It has become quite sad in this water ionizer market. The companies and the reps of the above mentioned companies, excluding Enagic, have made this rush to sell machines comparative to two selfish politicians who will do or say anything to sell machines or win your vote. I can tell you that they are all lying about several different things. However, the one thing they are lying about the most, is the information they are putting out about the Enagic machine.

The biggest culprit is LifeIonizer. They are straight lying through their teeth. I know first hand that the lies they are putting out are coming straight from the owner himself and not the reps. The reps are just replicating his information. Just as an example, from their supposed “comparison”, they claim that The Enagic only gets from 2.5 to 10.8. I highly doubt the machine only went as low as 2.5. My machine has been as low as 2.1. However, for just a second, lets give them the benefit of the doubt on the 2.5. I GUARANTEE the Enagic gets more than 10.8. Where they really shoot themselves in the foot is where they claim that at 10.8, the Enagic only gets roughly -360 ORP. That is IMPOSSIBLE and it is a COMPLETE LIE! MY machine averages -400 at the second drinking level, at the machines normal flow rate. ON the high end, my machine averages 11.3 with an ORP in the -800’s. Not only would I invite anyone into my home to see this, I challenge Rick (the owner of LifeIonizers) to have me come down there with my machine, and ensure a true side by side test. But that wont happen.

Now, the excuse everyone uses to cover their lies, is that every water municipality has different water, therefore results vary. This is true! But I have seen several different Enagic machines work in several different areas, and they all do just fine. So their analysis is bogus, and if they are willing to lie so badly on one end, stands to reason they might not be so truthful on the other end. By the way, so everyone knows, I actually visited LifeIonizers headquarters in Carlsbad before I bought my machine. I live 40 minutes away from Carlsbad. I have seen their machines at work, including their new 7 plate machine since my friend bought one. Unfortunately he had to return it right away because it overheated. Look for info on these machines under Product Info.

Now this kind of thing doesn’t stop at LifeIonizers. It is across the board. I could go into detail about all of them. Instead I suggest you look for these easy hints. Try to find these so called “machine comparisons” done by supossed “independent companies”. If you do your homework enough, you will find that you cant find consistency on who is the best. You can find comparisons that virtually put every type of machine ahead of the rest. This is because, these are, for the most part not “third party tests” that have been done. These are all “comparisons” posted by the actual companies themselves. Notice most of these comparisons say “We have tested” and “We have found”. What they never tell you is who We are. I wonder why? I have posted a couple of these as an example under Bogus Comparisons.

What you will find consistent in whomever’s “comparison”, is that the Enagic machine is always in second. They all are admitting the Enagic is one of the top of the line. Basically they are all comparing themslves to Enagic. They are not just being truthful about the numbers the Enagic gets.

What you will also not find, is any Enagic rep posting comparison tests. We dont have to. The machine sells itself because of the incredible helath results it gets, along side the various benefits it gets outside of health. In fact, the business plan to sell these units is by giving people water to experience themselves. Most sales are not done through the internet, and they are still the number one selling machine to date.

I have done a side by side test of the Jupiter Melody and it did fairly well. However, at the suggested drinking level of 9.5, the Melody fell off considerably with its ORP and micro-clustering. These are two crucial components to the water. The Melody competed well with its ph in the mid levels, however the Enagic did better at high and low ph points. For more information of high and low ph benefits, click here. By the way, Jupiter has other models that are more expensive and have a new technology, but I still suggest the Melody. For reasons why, click here.

AS I stated above, I got the opportunity to visit the headquarters for LifeIonizers in Carlsbad and actually saw the two units they had. While their original unit seemed to perform well, their new technology unit did not perform like the older unit. My visit, turned out to be pretty disappointing as I asked several questions that couldn’t be answered. We also were told we could see the internals of the units, but when we arrived there were somehow no units that could be opened. So the inability to answer several questions, and the fact that we were told we could see the inside of the units, and ultimately couldn’t, made me skeptical of the product.

Another person in our group actually purchased a Tyant machine. We were actually pretty excited about this unit at first. We tested the unit and found it to have pretty good numbers. However, when we tested it for chlorine, it did not filter the chlorine. That was disappointing as that is a major component that any machine should be able to do. Asthetically, the Tyant is the best looking machine, however it is much larger than the others, which may cause space issues on countertops. For more info on the Tyant, click here.

I have not had any direct experience with KYK at this point. However, these machines all seem to be at the same level, and I am not sure the KYK will be different. However, KYK does not warranty their machine. That is a big red flag. They also use “white gold” to coat their titanium plates. That is not the industry standard.

Now this is probably the biggest reason why I purchased the Enagic. The Enagic Company is an OEM company. OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer. This means Enagic makes their own machine, in their own factory and are hand made. This company is in Japan.

I can tell you for sure that Jupiter, LifeIonizers, KYK and Tyant are made in Korea and they are not OEM companies. Jupiter is made by a company called Emco Tech. If you do your research, Emco Tech actually makes machines for several of the companies that are out there. From what I understand, if you had enough money, you could call Emco Tech and start your own line through them. This tells me a few simple things. One, is that many of the ionizers you see are basically the same company and same technology even though they have different names. The other is that it is clear that these machines are being mass produced. My concern with that is that there is probably little quality control and corners are being cut. That is only my opinion though.

Now, if I were buying a t.v. or a microwave, that might not make much of a difference to me. However, I am buying a product that is altering nature, to some degree, and then ingesting it into my body. For myself, my friends and my family, I feel much more comfortable going with the OEM company that has been in business for roughly 30 years.

Please be clear that I am not bashing any unit in particular, I am simply giving you the experience that I have had.

The Enagic machine is also built in a manner that the machine can be taken apart, serviced, and each plate cleaned individually. I know the Jupiter, Life Ionizer and KYK do not have that capability. In addition to that, at the end of the plates life span inside of the unit, it can be rebuilt to new for roughly 20% of its original cost. In both cases, Enagic will immediately give you a loaner machine while your machine is being serviced. I know that is not the case in both instances for Jupiter, and I am willing to bet that is the same with the others. That is something I am looking into right now. For a more extensive description of overall cost of all machines, click here.

In your studies on these machines, you will find one thing that is common when people talk about the Enagic. All those who are honest, will tell you the Enagic is the top or one of the top machines. If they say otherwise they are simply not being honest. The other thing you will hear is that they are over priced because the are an MLM company. I will tell you that Enagic is not an MLM company. Enagic is a direct sales company who is a memebr of the DSA, THe Direct Sales Association. If you want to know more about the Enagic Company Structure along with other companies, click here. I can also tell you this, they are all overpriced. So is everything electronic that you buy. I just bought a T.V. for $5000 that I guarantee didn’t cost them $500 to make, and I didn’t blink an eye. To boot, it will probably last 5 to 7 years. I already have a nice T.V., and even though this will do nothing for my health or quality of life, I still bought it. The ionizer machine has not only changed my quality of life, it has changed my friends and family’s quality of life as well. This is quite possibly the most important purchase I have made in my life. You have to look at the overall picture about the machine itself, its performance, the company warranty and maintenance service, the company headquarter accessibility, and company experience and stability. For more of an analysis on these issues, click here.

Currently, my suggestion is to go with the Enagic machine. Particularly, if you have a serious health issue. Yes it is pricey, but cost should never be a factor when it comes to fixing a health issue and the Enagic has amazing after amazing testimnials. If your in pretty good health and want the machine as a prevenative medicine outlet, you are not concerned about utilizing the high and low ph levels, and money is a factor, the Melody would be my second choice. Both companies have very good customer service and both have been around in the longest. Jupiter has been around for roughly 13 years. Enagic has only been in the US for roughly 5 years, but has been making machines for roughly 30. They are the two companies right now, that I know will be around for another 15 years and I know they will be there for warranty issues, maintenance issues and replacement issues. Other companies are so new, there is no guarantee they will be around in 4 to five years. What will you do then. They also have not had enough time to develop a track record for the customer service and return factor.

In conclusion, those are the factors I took into consideration when purchasing my machine. You should consider these factors when you make your decision. My reasons for purchasing may be different from yours and you may decide to go with a different unit, that is great. The important thing is to be as informed as possible.
